NYX v/s Sugar Liquid Lipstick- Honest Review

I am not the one to write about makeup on my blog but this one is tried and tested so why not.

Before going into the detail, I will tell you my favourite would be NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream. Though I am not sure what all to mention in details but I will write down my experience with both. Lets start analysing:

·         The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream comes without any outer packaging except the plastic wrapped around its neck as a seal in a cute fully colour coded tube. The ingredients are written on a tube itself but with dark shades it gets really difficult to read.

·         The Sugar Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick comes in a rectangular tube inside a paper box packaging with ingredients written on the outer packing itself with the shade and brand name. The packaging looks really sophisticated for Sugar cosmetics.

The shade for both the lipsticks is mentioned at the bottom and for Sugar ones on the carton too.

·         The NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream has a real nice texture, glides on the lips perfectly without settling into the crease. It gives your lips a fuller matte look on drying. Doesn’t dries the lip out at least for me even after a long hour application.

·         The Sugar Smudge Me Not, the texture is smooth but on drying, the lips feel little tight though it doesn’t dries the lip out but you can definitely feel the weight of the lipstick unlike the NYX ones.

Staying Power:

The staying power of both the lipsticks is top-notch. For long I wanted to switch from bullet lipsticks as I am not the one to wear lipsticks at home and only outside. With hot humid climate of India to find a lipstick with perfect staying power is truly a bliss. I am sure I am gonna get to bottom of both the tubes.

Both stay for more than 6-7 hours without the re-touch.

·         To remove NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream from your lips is easy, plain rub with some lip balm does the trick (but mostly I go for water with some mild face wash to take it off along with my face cream).

·         To remove Sugar Smudge Me Not from your lips is difficult. You have to go little rough on your lips to remove it.

I am no expert to comment on this section but to my understanding that as NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream has creamy texture so the application is smooth and so is the removal with the added benefit that it doesn’t dries the lip out and your lips do not need much of after care. On the other hand Sugar Smudge Me Not is a compete matte formula hence your lips feel bit dried out and need that extra care after wards.

While I bought both the products on Sale, the current price of

·         NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream-600/-    (Sale Price-Rs. 399/-)

·         Sugar Smudge Me Not-Rs. 549/-    (Sale Price- Rs. 474/-)

By the above given list one thing becomes evident that why am I bit biased towards NYX one, though I am putting my SUGAR ones equally(no partiality there).

I am currently living in a small city so buy cosmetics from online vendors only (as my local shops are filled with duplicates), for makeup my go to is Nykaa delivering all these goodies at my doorstep.
