Trip to MANALI- ROHTANG PASS- KULLU- Budget, Itinerary and Experience

Planning a getaway trip from work and chaos…look no far as Manali in India is a perfect location. I recently planned a trip to Manali with friends and Man-O-Man is it a place to be at. Irrespective of the fact you are Indian or not, plan a trip to Manali, Rohtang and Kullu as it’s a place in budget and has so much to offer. Famous for its location, mountains, scenery, apple trees, wooden huts  and pinewood forests, it’s a perfect spot situated in Himachal Pradesh and trust me when I say this as I experienced it myself only recently. If you plan to visit Rohtang Pass via Manali, avoid going in November till February as the roads will be shut due to snow fall. Best months to plan a trip to Manali are in the months of May and June but the place is said to be in peak season in those months and roads are packed with higher rates of taxis and hotels but you will be able to see snow caped mountains and avail adventure sports like rafting and skiing during this period except Paragliding which is available throughout the year.

Here I am sharing all about my trip, Itinerary and budget to Manali, Rohtang and Kullu

Comfortable Clothes – Wearing Style with Comfort

Hello Pom-Poms!

Who likes to be stuffed in body clasping clothes and head for a party (especially if party is meant to enjoy), I know I don’t as in such condition either I can enjoy or be conscious/uncomfortable or sweat profusely through my pores…You all heard me say body clasping...Right? Of course I be the later but we all are guilty of doing  it so often as we fail to understand that comfortable clothes can be stylish too if put together with best combos.

Sometime you just don’t feel okay health-wise but obligation to take that extra effort to look your best just kills you a little from within, I know that feeling…and it’s not a good one so Ladies you don’t have to bear that horror anymore as here is a small guide to wear comfortable clothes in style on best occasions and bring your ‘A’ game:

Make Palazzo your style Mantra:
There is nothing more comfortable than breathable cotton fabric wrapped around your pretty legs and when its loose and comfy like Palazzo, it’s a bliss. They are one of the most comfortable clothes in the dictionary and make such awesome statement. Highly versatile to pair with and such ease of accessibility gives you more than just an awesome experience. Get yourself a pair if you already don’t have one, you are missing the best of clothing. I talked about versatility because these are those pair of pants which you can team up with anything and I mean anything- T-Shirts, Kurtas, Anarkali, Tops, Tank Tops, Bandeau, peplum, Shirts and my list is yet not finished…Talk about versatility.
Palazzo are comfortable clothes option

Comfortable clothes call for Palazzo

Some comfortable footwear to go along will just make your day whole lot awesome.

New Oversized Style:
Find the best of oversized outfits in yours or your boy’s closet, they make the most comfortable clothes and did you know they make some stylish creations. When an oversized shirt is tucked Oh! So slightly in the belt, it doesn’t take away your comfort but stays well in the style quotient.  Choose baggy or flared pants and pair it with some uber comfy t-shirt or top and you are good to go. Think about an oversized kurtas and you will feel the breeze instantly, keep in mind that you choose your option carefully as oversized can make you look flumsy in no time…avoid that.

Tracks for the Road Trip:
These days tracks and joggers make such an awesome comfortable quotient that it’s hard to not fall for them. Include some good pair of tracks and joggers in your wardrobe so you don’t miss out on the comfortable clothes. Pair these pants with regular fitted t-shirts or tank tops and go around the block with all glitz and glamour.

LEGGING - U.S. CROWN Yoga Pant , TOP - Campus Sutra Crop Hoodie , SHOES - Vans Unisex Sneakers

Get yourself some Jumpers and Rompers:
Jumpers and Rompers are epitome of comfortable clothes so ladies do get yourself one of these. Some solid coloured rompers with classic flat shoes will never take away from your comfort but will give you such style. Printed jumpers with little accessorising gives such modish look and man-o-man are they comfortable thus staying true to the talk of it, for the feet all you need are some Chappals and that’s it. They are no-muss, no-fuss attire.
ROMPER - FabAlley Rayon Romper; CLUTCH -Curewe Kerien Zipper Clutch, NECKLACE -Shining Diva Butterfly Long Chain Pendant, FOOTWEAR -Lavie Sandals -Blue

Cotton Kurtas- Your New Top Situation:
Some cotton or organza kurti is such an statement maker, pair these kurtis with denim or pants and done…for accessories all you need is a watch and if you are going for some bohemian vibes then pair the kurti with skirt of dhoti pant. I love good chicken-kari kurti straight from Lucknow, it’s a must have even if it’s just one. Yes do indulge in some comfort buy as they last for ages in every aspect.

Dhoti Pants - Comfortable, Stylish and your Statement Getaway:

Yes! It’s a blend of ethnic and modern in the most comfortable way. Pair loose kurta or t-shirts with some ethnic dhoti pant, they are most cool pair ever. Many a time it so happens that we struggle to find the perfect combo and it so happens with this one that whatever you pair it with makes it so perfect wearable outfit. I am saying it for every outfit mentioned here that get yourself one of these but Girl if you are going for comfort then you gotta have all of these at one point or another. Trust me these are tried and tested by none other than me- one who runs for comfortable clothes as I am the queen of sweat and summers kill me…So yeah! Go for it.

Dungarees - Athletic and Comfort at its Best:

This is no game girl, I am talking all sense here and by mere looking at loose fit dungarees one can easily make out that how comfortable they are and the chicness quotient is way too high. Mixed with grunge and structure, these are perfect go to option for comfortable clothing. Pair your dungarees with crop or tank tops, they make you look extra-ordinary and there is no match for comfort.
Choose your Fabric wisely:
Be it any outfit…. if you don’t work on your choice of fabric, everything will go downhill. Outfits give you shape and structure but fabric is what gives you feel and anything rough or hugging will only make you feel not so comfortable. Guys find yourself something in COTTON, KNITTED, ORGANZA, SILK, VISCOS, RAYON or some LINEN…they are the best of fabric choices. These fabrics are breathable and comfortable on skin, while choosing outfit in person feel it on your palm or face for smoothness…if you are buying online check for the description of fabric I have mentioned some good fabrics to go for. You don’t have to be fabric analyser for choosing a right one, just keep your fingers active while picking out a piece.

Shift Dresses- There is nothing like it:

See a plain simple shift dress; you know it will be the most comfortable attire ever. These dresses are so comforting and such statement makers that you will have to wear it to believe it. I need not to say more about this outfit as they need no description, look it, feel it, pair it, style it, wear it and you will feel all the comfort in the world.

Indulge in Comfortable Inner-Wear:
Do I dare take this in note but yes for you ladies I speak and for you only is my this precious million dollar advise…give some thought and time while choosing your inner-wear. There is so much available in market now a days that it’s hard to concentrate on what’s best for your comfort, sometimes we do commit a mistake of choosing looks over what’s comfortable…clothes can still be managed if they tug but ladies we all know the trouble of itchy straps and tight grasps. Know your size, your body type, brands to choose from, take help from attendants in shopping malls and give time in changing room while trying on those inner beauties.  I tell you, if you find yourself some comfortable bras and bottoms then your life will be bliss.
Stay Chic and Comfortable with Ethnic Wear:
Clothes from the past and history of Indian culture make the most comfortable ensemble, it’s just you gotta choose wisely. Straight or Anarkali fit kurtas with palazzo or dhoti pants reduce the effort you put in getting prepped and make the most awesome look. Have printed Kurta or some self-embroidered kurtis, you are all set to make statement girl…Just wear that and you are ready to make statement. I my opinion nothing can ever go wrong with ethnic and they are the most comfortable thing to wear given they are highly embellished or embroidered.

Sarees seem like a Hungarian task but think about Flexibility and Style:
I know this one is a shocker but girls don’t you agree with me if you get a hand of draping a saree they will make the most glamorous and put together ensemble. Plus the things you can do with its draping…opportunities are endless. Trust me on this just be comfortable to try it the first time as your go to option and you will never regret it. I am not the one who wears sarees daily but I can never deny that they are fall in comfortable clothes list hands-down. Shed your inhibition ones and you will be in awe of what all wonders a saree can do. Style your saree according to your choice and you will never let it go.

So that's my comfort wear tell in the COMMENTS what's your go to option when it comes to choosing comfortable clothes.

90s Fashion Trends Coming Back

Hello Pom-Poms!

Remember the time when cassette and VCRs were a real thing, right before Internet -Yes!The 90s...I am a child of 80s so for me its good old childhood memories freshly revived when the sitcoms were awesome and trends lasted for decades. Though the one thing I didn't like of that era was Bollywood's take on fashion, it went downhill, while growing up I always kept thinking, "who would wear that?" as those costumes were cringe worthy but there were some classics which are coming back for good. I have grown up watching those trends which back then seemed tacky but now we all can admit its making a huge statement, who knew it only takes little bit of tweaking and your are all set for another era. When I look back, it isn't that much of a time in between and it only took fashion industry 20 years to fall back to those trends...I am not complaining though as I am loving me some high waist pants(though still it becomes hard to find sometimes...I guess definition of high-waist pants confuses the stores :D).

While growing up everything used to be of our mother's choice and I was lucky in that context as my Mom was fashion forward...whatever was new and trending, we wore that. I have practically grown up in high rise cuffed pants, dungarees and shift dresses...this is the exact trend which made a comeback and me HAPPY. I realised it much later though, only when I saw the epic sitcoms like FRIENDS and Sex and the City, it dawned upon me how similar was this period to 90s with its fashion choices. When I saw Carrie in that tutu and Rachael with that bob cut, it was like living in the present(Yes! You are going to hear a lot of these references).

While Indian sitcoms were in the golden period 90s story wise, I can't comment much on their fashion goals whereas Bollywood was experimenting, remember Madhuri Dixit in 'Ankhiyan Milaun Kabhi..'I loved that crop top and high waist jeans growing up, who knew it will be back with such a bang. Here are the 90s fashion trends which already made an entrance:

Choker - Then Grunge/Now Accessory

90s was the time when chokers were more for grunge look but now its more of an accessory to suit the look you opt for. I love this whole vibe which goes with this simple yet classic accessory, it transforms the whole look. Blank solid top can be jazzed up with this little addition plus benefit is that styled look with choker can hardly go wrong, so happy that this 90s vibe came back.

Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore were the icons who promoted this grunge look with such ease and comfort over the period but by the end of 90s, it came to its end too only to revive on 2017 trend book.
Choker in 90s were for grunge goth look

By the start of 2017, many celebrities were making it a style quotient on many occasions with an addition of 'no specific look' policy, which was refreshing and who knew it would look so dapper. Priyanka Chopra paired this gold choker with plain white top and this is exactly what I was talking about, giving personality to the otherwise blah look.

Body Positivity | Journey from Body Image Conscious to Healthy Body

Hello Pom-Poms!

If you have ever looked in a mirror and thought of that belly fat which is hard to get off... raise your hand, if you have a face full of acne because your hormones can't find their peace...raise your hand, if you are the one who judges your body...raise your hand. Oh! Yes, I have raised my hand in each and every part so why the hell am I taking the topic of body positivity up for discussion?

Because Girls and Boys, with time I have embraced every flaw and made them my own. I can't say, I have turned a saint who doesn't think of bodily abnormalities and flaws...I am hella crazy for staying fit and disease free. I indulge into pampering sessions myself every now and then but do I think about that scar below my left eyebrow...NAAH! Do I make buns of my belly fat (Yes! I have belly ) in front of mirror...NAAH...not anymore.

What does Body Positivity mean:

Not to be cautious about everything happening(outwardly) with your body, to have a more liberal approach towards treating your body of its issues or rather not thinking of flaws as issues altogether. It is to have a little firm outlook towards your body and to focus on improving an overall health rather than giving your mind and body the torture of thoughts and wrecking it via shortcuts or extensive plans. Body Positivity Movement(term) is a recent one but the concept have been promoted through  ages in terms of various practices like Yoga, Meditation, treating your body like a temple and various other practices mentioned in the Vedas (I am from India and Vedas are important part of my culture so referring them is quite apt).

Need of Body Positivity:

With evolution, many things have evolved...position of man and woman in society, beauty objectification, beauty mark-ups throughout the ages, concept of beauty from various scriptures, ideal body types and lord-O-lord does the list end here...No but do we have control over the colour of our skin, over the changes in inward bodily functions, over the cellulite and melanin, those freckles, can we help that even how hard we try not to eat our taste bud ain't our best friend or even if we have chips a day, we bloat.

Answer to all of it is NO.

What you CAN do is to moderately balance our thoughts towards living a healthy life, nurturing the body you already have and turning it into our own perfect version not because somebody else set that parameter but because you wanted it so. Its high time you say NO to all the bad practices you have been doing with your body and start working towards it positively.

My Experience:

You are not alone in this, I have been through the same path at one point in my life. If you have seen my other posts then you may already know that I am not with bulges, I am a small petite kind but growing up I saw flaw with every part of mine. It was like nothing about my body was making me happy just to name few issues throughout childhood>I was called skinny (by none other than my own relatives), my face wasn't the perfect kind, girl with okay complexion, one with wide giant nose and this all made me think the same way about myself...nothing changed when I was a grown up, I kept finding faults with myself like my face is full of acne, I sweat like a pig, this huge belly in regards with my otherwise small posture, my effed up hair ad god knows what not. This was a continuous thought process as I saw myself everyday, I lived with myself everyday.

Guess what with time the pimples went away, the belly is here to stay, I can't grow any longer, whom is my nose bothering, I love my complexion and I rock every look I put on. So who so ever judges me...Judge all you want but I am done judging myself. I am at much peaceful place now(mind wise) because I accepted my body so every time I pass by that mirror, I don't cringe...I feel POWERFUL.

Change Starts from Within

No one but you is your biggest critique, its you who decides what healthy for you....the long session of thinking about that scar on your thigh or some real awesome time doing something productive. The one you enjoy the most is your answer. No one but you can make yourself feel happy and awesome about the dusky beauty that you are or you can get busy with those layer of fairness cream.

Pom Poms, world is already not making it easy for us with their judgements and remarks, why exactly you have to go through all that within yourself...shut those voices down in your head or on their faces. Be the best version of yourself and prove every prejudice wrong. For this you don't have to fight the battle but to do the exact opposite, find your peace within. Embrace your body with all the love and affection make your mind feel positive.

Moderation is the key:

Body Positivity doesn't mean that you cut yourself off of everything but it is to have everything in a healthier form and in moderation. Don't be mis-guided with the motto here it helps you to stay healthy and tells you to leave all that malice practice like skipping meals for diet, loosing your hair for continuous hair texture treatments, calling yourself not beautiful, falling in the hands of scammers who claim to make your skin tone brighter. Try everything, indulge in every detail but with flexibility of skipping the things which are harmful and not beneficial for your body.

Healthy mind with healthy body:

Body shamming over the period has trained your mind to think and take all harmful decisions for your body, its high time to cut that cord of thoughts and now treat it as a happy soul. Healthy mind always promotes body positivity, you can take help of meditation, yoga and various soothing exercise or creativity forms to relax your mind. Here I mentioned many ways for a healthy mind as its always not necessary to meditate, you can choose your own happy zone which helps you have positive can be a dance form, some art, some decoration, reading something, indulging in exercise...You find your own thing.

Shut down the Voices around:

I know its real easy to preach but I have experienced it and telling you from my own experiences, the more you shut down the negativity around you the more you will be happy with yourself. Let nobody else tell you that you are fat, let no one else tell you that you have a face that doesn't suit you...let nobody effect you in a way that it makes you think less of yourself. It will take some time, motivation and boost but ladies/gentleman let me a reminder of this beautiful thought that,
"When nobody is around, you live in your body and there is no happy place than it."
Let no one make and I mean it no one make you feel otherwise.

Surroundings Matter:

Where at one point its necessary to shut down those negative voices, its really helpful for yourself to be with happy people, the ones who see you as who you are and not for how you look. It doesn't mean that surround yourself with the ones who talk sugar but be the ones who promote healthy environment so that it helps you improve yourself.

Be a perfect version of Yourself:

No matter how imperfect you are, be the best of you.
I am not saying work hard to be the perfect one but be the perfect version of your body and soul, be in a positive place where you feel content of yourself in terms of your body image than it will be hard for others to bring you down. Remember, those ten who point finger at you go back home and look closely at their flaws too...they are not the happy souls themselves.

Promote Body Positivity:

Working on yourself is not sufficient, be the promoter of body positivity from inside and out. I have seen people who talk about body positivity but that all it is...a talk as they are the ones who judge when girl with facial hair passes by them, they comment on someone's dressing sense but the ones who judge can never be a promoter of anything positive, free your mind from irrelevant judgements. Promote body positivity so that more people get encouragement to feel confident in their skin, so that they don't go through the same feeling as that they ain't depressed.

Makeup and Exercise-Your version of it:

Workout because you love your body and not because you hate it
                                                                                                  - Katie Goulet
Just like that apply makeup if that's what you want  and not because you have to hide some scar because of what people might think of it.

Make exercise and makeup your booster, not a mandatory compulsion and you will achieve a much positive body image.

Every one has different parameter of beauty judgement, open your mind...take a more vast approach towards body positivity and don't judge at all. I know that's humanly impossible but we have so much to judge already like our career plan, which place is good, which option is suitable...WHY JUDGE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING for anything. Be more liberal with your thoughts towards yourself and others too.

Share some WISDOM and Comment below if you have gone through body shamming and your approach towards body positivity.

Much more power to you lovely souls, stay POSITIVE and choose HEALTH.

4 No Tool DIY Nail Art Designs | Tips for Nail Art at Home

Hello Creators!

Its been my only makeup thing since 9th grade- Nail Art. I was a total tomboy but that one thing which kept me attached to my feminine side the most are my 'NAILS'. From then I used to do all sort of crazy things with painting them neon, making art on them, growing them long and I can't remember the number of times I have been scolded for it but I never stopped. Those were the times when nail art wasn't as popular as today but then there were not so many other things either- Things like digital era but see how popular is it today and so is my beloved NAIL ART.
